🏰 About Blothera

Blothera is a hardcore‑lite survival server built around an in‑world geopolitical sandbox. Towns can grow into nations, players use physical objects for political and mechanical actions (crowns, signed books on lecterns, keyed locks, train chains), and the design favors realism and immersion over menus and chat commands.

🎮 Gameplay

Players start as refugees and face tougher survival mechanics than vanilla: health and hunger behave differently, deaths reduce maximum HP, and healing often requires crafted items or campfire/resting. Progression is deliberate — early play focuses on surviving and preparing for the Nether, midgame on settlement and infrastructure (including chunk‑loading trains), and late game on defeating the End dragon to obtain a Crown and enter the political layer.

⚔️ Game Modes

🪓 Survival

A custom survival experience with reworked recipes, slower progression, and mechanical systems that live inside the world rather than in GUIs or commands.

🩸 Geopolitical / PvP

Towns can found nations, declare war, form alliances, vassalise others, and pursue imperial goals. Diplomacy and warfare are handled through in‑game items and lecterns rather than chat commands.

✨ Features

  • Physical, in‑world systems: nation/city formation via crowns and lecterns, train coupling with iron chains, map‑based town borders.
  • Bloodmoon events that change how you move and hide during dangerous nights.
  • Lockable containers using crafted keys.
  • Chunk‑loading trains for long‑distance trade and infrastructure.
  • Custom server code (Paper) built to keep systems inside the game world rather than menus.

💰 Economy and Progression

Progression is item and activity driven: trade, crafted tools, and infrastructure matter. The Dragon fight yields a Dragon Egg which can be traded for a Crown — the primary path to founding a nation. Players can run shops, build transport lines, and grow towns into political entities.

🛡️ Community and Rules

The server emphasises immersion and long‑term political play; its site and documentation describe systems for town leadership, nation diplomacy, and war mechanics handled through in‑game objects. Contact and community links are maintained by the server team.

🧭 Who Should Play Here

  • Players who like challenging, deliberate survival rather than fast‑track progression.
  • Builders and traders who enjoy infrastructure (rail networks, towns) that matter politically.
  • Roleplayers and players who enjoy political systems, diplomacy, and faction warfare.
  • Small groups or friends wanting to collaborate on towns and nation goals.

🔌 Connection Notes

The server supports both Java and Bedrock players and runs custom Paper plugins to deliver its systems. The team intentionally avoids standard chat commands, coordinates, and GUI menus — expect to interact with systems through crafted items and world objects.

🤙 Friend Tip

Bring a friend or two for the early game: maps, campfires, and crafted keys are small comforts that make surviving Bloodmoons and the Nether much easier. Learn how locks and trains work before investing large stores of goods.
