🔌 About MCPets
MCPets is a Minecraft plugin that provides 3D-modeled pets and mounts integrated with popular creature and model systems. It combines visual models and custom behaviors so servers can offer persistent companion creatures with inventories, stats, taming and evolutionary mechanics.
🎯 Purpose
MCPets targets server administrators who want player-facing companion systems: cosmetic and gameplay pets, mounts, and pet-related progression (experience, health/damage modifiers, skills). It is intended for servers that already use or can run complementary plugins for models and custom mob behaviors.
⚙️ Features
- 3D-model pets and mounts (ModelEngine integration).
- Integration with MythicMobs for custom behaviors and skills.
- Unique inventory per pet and in-game GUI for summoning, naming and managing pets.
- Pet statistics: experience, health and damage modifiers for skills.
- Taming, pet food and evolution systems.
- In-game editor for implementing and editing pets (
/mcpets editor). - Support for optional WorldGuard flags (if WorldGuard is installed).
🧩 Who It Is For
- Survival and SMP servers that want companion pets with progression.
- RPG or economy servers that use custom mobs and cosmetics.
- Servers already using ModelEngine and MythicMobs for custom models and behaviors.
🏗️ Example Use Cases
- Provide players with cosmetic mounts implemented as ModelEngine models and controllable via a GUI.
- Create tameable companions that gain experience and evolve into stronger variants.
- Use MythicMobs skills to give pets active abilities while keeping visuals from ModelEngine.
