About WildRTP
🔌 About WildRTP
WildRTP is a Minecraft plugin for random teleportation (RTP). It finds safe, random locations for players using configurable generation strategies, supports per-world customization, includes cooldowns and movetimers, and can integrate with protection plugins to avoid claimed or protected areas.
🎯 Purpose
WildRTP is designed to give server administrators a reliable, configurable RTP command so players can be safely teleported to random locations without landing in hazardous blocks, protected regions, or undesirable biomes. It targets survival and adventure servers that need controlled random spawning and admin-managed RTP behavior.
⚙️ Features
- Configurable global and per-world min/max radii and shape (CIRCLE or SQUARE).
- Multiple generation strategies (AUTO, HIGHEST_BLOCK, BOTTOM_UP, TOP_DOWN) for different world types.
- Cooldown support and per-world cooldown option.
- Movetimer (prevent movement before teleport completes) with configurable duration and cancel sound.
- Safe-location checks (blocks and biome avoidance, max attempts setting).
- Auto-RTP triggers (on first join, on join, on death) configurable.
- Hooks/integrations for protection plugins to skip protected locations.
- Optional metrics collection (bStats) and update checking.
🧩 Who It Is For
- Survival and SMP servers that want safe random spawns.
- Adventure servers that need controlled player distribution.
- Admins who require per-world RTP configuration and protection integration.
🏗️ Example Use Cases
- Let new players use
/wildto find an unexplored area without risking suffocation or teleporting into lava. - Configure smaller RTP ranges and cooldowns for spawn-adjacent worlds and larger ranges for wilderness worlds.
- Enable WorldGuard/Towny/residence hooks so RTP never places players inside protected regions.
