🏰 About GrieferGames

GrieferGames is a German Citybuild server network that focuses on plot-based building, trading and long-term community play. The project runs a large 1.8 Citybuild network alongside a separate Cloud network that follows newer Minecraft versions; the two networks are kept separate.

🎮 Gameplay

Players claim and build on individual plots in dedicated Citybuild worlds and can expand by merging adjacent plots. Each Citybuild server provides a normal overworld (farm world) and a Nether; the End is not enabled on the Citybuild servers. Items and in-game currency are synchronized across the 1.8 Citybuild servers, so inventories and money are usable across those servers.

🪓 Citybuild

GrieferGames splits Citybuild across multiple servers (the 1.8 network lists 25 Citybuild servers and additional themed Citybuild instances such as Nature, Extreme and Evil). Citybuild focuses on player plots, community projects and an in-server economy rather than survival mechanics or competitive PvP.

💰 Economy and Progression

The network uses in-game currencies that are synchronized across the 1.8 Citybuild servers. Players can earn money via jobs and trading, use the auction house for buying and selling, and unlock perks through the GrieferPass. These systems support a player-driven economy and mid-term progression for traders and builders.

🛡️ Community and Rules

GrieferGames maintains an active community presence (official forum, Discord and a ticket/support system) and documents network rules and support procedures on its wiki and forum. Moderation and support channels are available through those official community hubs.
