🏰 About HCMC
HCMC is a no-compromise hardcore Minecraft server built around one-life, permanent-death survival and a single persistent overworld. Player runs, bases, and builds endure (the overworld is never reset), so every choice matters. The server aims for a fair, competitive experience with active moderation and anti-cheat protections.
🎮 Gameplay
Play is pure survival: there are no kits and no keep-inventory. If you die you are moved to spectator and issued a permanent ban for that account — the server offers a paid revive option and a bug-death appeals process to restore a banned username when appropriate. The server keeps leaderboards and a public death log so long runs and player history are part of the experience.
PvP, raiding, and player-versus-player encounters are part of the world; the environment is intentionally unforgiving and focused on risk-and-reward play rather than guided progression or hand-holding.
✨ Features
- True permadeath with a revive / appeal system.
- Persistent overworld (builds and history remain). Nether and End have scheduled resets (site lists monthly/weekly reset cadence).
- Optional proximity voice chat (Simple Voice Chat) — requires the matching client-side mod.
- Anti-cheat and anti-xray measures (site lists GrimAC and Orebfuscator) and active moderation.
- Public leaderboards tracking longest alive, kills, deaths, and playtime.
- Cross-version play via ViaVersion (Java edition focused).
⚙️ Commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/spawn | Return to the server spawn. |
/rtp | Random teleport (useful for exploring away from spawn). |
/sethome | Set a personal home location. |
/tpa | Request to teleport to another player. |
(These commands are listed on the server's how-to-play page.)
🧭 Who Should Play Here
HCMC suits players who want high-stakes, survival-first Minecraft: people who enjoy tense PvP, careful base-building, and long-term persistence where history matters. It's not aimed at players seeking a relaxed or heavily guided experience; new players should expect a steep learning curve.
🔌 Connection Notes
- Java edition server; cross-version support is provided via ViaVersion.
- Proximity voice chat uses Simple Voice Chat and requires the corresponding Forge/Fabric/Quilt client mod to enable in-game voice.
- The server operates rules, reset schedules, revive purchases, and appeals through its official site and support pages; read the rules and how-to-play pages before joining.
🤙 Friend Tip
Read the rules and the revives/appeals page before you start a serious run. If you plan to use voice chat, install the correct Simple Voice Chat mod for your client so proximity audio connects automatically.
