Straight Up is a persistent, player-driven vanilla Minecraft server founded on April 1, 2019. The server intentionally keeps the experience close to unmodified Minecraft: no land claims, no protected spawn, no map resets, and permissive player interaction. The world is long-lived and meant for players who enjoy emergent stories, rivalries, and full-risk survival.

🎮 Gameplay

The server runs a vanilla-style survival experience with a few carefully chosen quality-of-life tweaks. Players start at a random location near spawn and must fend for themselves—PvP, griefing, and player theft are allowed. The server enforces a hard difficulty setting and keeps the core mechanics familiar to standard Java Minecraft.

Straight Up focuses on open-world survival where player freedom is the central feature. There are no land-claim systems or teleport conveniences like TPA, so bases require caution and discretion. Progression is organic: gather, build, raid, and form alliances or enemies as you see fit.

• The server intentionally keeps rules minimal; enforcement focuses on stability and privacy. Official rules prohibit actions that intentionally crash or lag the server, doxxing, sharing duplicating glitches (some harmless block dupes excepted), advertising/spam, illegal activity, and punishment evasion.
• Chat report functionality is disabled, reflecting the server's permissive social approach. The staff maintain an anti-cheat to limit non-vanilla behavior but will not ban players solely for using cheats that bypass protections.

• Difficulty: Hard. Max players and view/simulation distances are intentionally conservative for stability.
• Proximity chat is optional and requires a client-side mod (available from public mod repositories); no special launcher or mandatory resource pack is required for core gameplay.
